ASOS HACK COMP
ui/ ux design, prototype, research, design brief, team work

brief -       pick a challenge you want to solve:
1. sizing
2. fit
3. events

when: march 2019
what: The event brought Women in Tech together to take part in generating new ideas for ASOS and how they can meet the needs of their customers.

IDEA:
We came down to the idea of ASOS implementing a hashtag category within their website, which allows users to view items from a particular trending hashtag.
It would be beneficial for ASOS to connect more with social media sites in order to increase the buzz.
Instagram seemed like an obvious choice of social media platform to collaborate with as that is where ASOS have the largest target audience attention with 8.1 million followers.

example:
a user could search for #ASOSCarnival and it would bring up specific items related to that event and then also show you a selection of the relevant clothing worn by ASOS Insiders from images they have posted on Instagram.

advantages:
The benefit of this would be ASOS users being able to see a realistic representation of what 1 piece of clothing can look like on a range of people of all different sizes. Clicking this image would directly take you to instagram where the ASOS Insider has posted the image.

social media marketing
In the captions we would get the insiders to give a description of the event and some details of the outfit itself.

back - end design
We worked on some back-end programming which allowed us to demonstrate a technological version on the concept of our idea. We used Search engine optimisation and created databases that would store these hashtags to make sure that the correct items pop up when the users search for something.

design:
I also developed some Marvel prototypes for our presentation to display the process of the interaction design within our project. I produced a screen recording of how we expect and want our users to interact with the ASOS interface and what user's can gain from going through each step.
